Upcoming Event Overview
On Friday morning, April 4th, 2025, West Jefferson Elementary School in Conifer, Colorado, will host its annual Donuts with Grownups event. During this event, Kindergarten through 5th grade students will have the chance to showcase their artistic and written contributions to an upcoming book project. Approximately 80 volunteer grownups will visit classrooms to engage with the students.
Book Project Details
The book project, titled "Conifer Cares: Helping Animals Find Forever Homes," is a collaboration between West Jefferson Elementary, the Evergreen Animal Protective League, and the CIPA Education and Literacy Foundation. A commemorative Conifer Cares keychain will be given to all students as a token of recognition for their contributions ahead of the book's launch, scheduled for May 9th at the school library. Each student will receive a personal copy of the book, with additional copies available for donation to support future literacy initiatives at other Colorado schools.
